Overview
An extremely well-established independent practice, with offices in Leeds, is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team and take a lead in the provision of Tax Services to a range of clients and act as an internal consultant to colleagues.Main Duties
As Tax Manager you will be expected to:
• Keeping the tax team up-to-date on VAT matters
• Client VAT reviews & consultancy
• Corporate Tax
• Specialist Tax projects
• Compliance reviews
The client base includes a large number of owner-managed businesses (ranging in turnover from £1m - £50m) across a wide range of sectors, meaning that there are excellent opportunities to refine technical skills in a very challenging sector of the market.
Key Skills
In order to be considered for the role Tax Manger you will need to have:
• a recognised accountancy qualification (CCAB), ideally ACA, CTA, ACCA or be qualified-by-experience)
• A background in and broad knowledge of UK Taxes
• Excellent communication and relationship skilled
• Experience working in accountancy practice or HMRC/ Inland Revenue
