Overview
A regional independent practice with a strong presence throughout the North East is seeking a Tax Manager to work in their Durham office providing taxation advice to new and existing clients.Main Duties
As Tax Manager you will be expected to take a lead in:
· Working in cooperation with the Senior Partners of each office
· Pro-actively developing new clients and sell services to the existing client base
· Developing new tax services (Corporate, Personal & VAT); in particular through opportunities provided by changes in legislation
· Producing tax-efficient strategies and planning on behalf of clients
· Dealing with a diverse range of tax queries
· Provide advice, training and guidance to colleagues on basic issues relating to taxation
The role is initially an interim, maternity cover role but due to the expanding workload of the firm, there is a strong likelihood of a permanent opportunity.
Key Skills
In order to be considered for the role of Tax Manager you will need to have:
- A recognised CCAB accountancy qualification, or qualified-by-experience
- A strong background in provision of taxation services
- Excellent client relationship and development skills
- Experience of working with trusts and estates
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong administrative and literacy skills
