Overview
A highly successful and expanding national accountancy practice based in Carlisle is seeking a Practice Manager to join an established team and take a lead in the provision and organisation of general practice services.Main Duties
As Practice Manager you will be expected to take a lead in:
- Management and allocation of client workloads
- Management, training and mentoring of a team of staff
- Preparation of client statutory accounts
- External auditing of client accounts
- Preparation of Corporation and Personal Tax and VAT returns
- Personal Tax Planning for High-Net-Worth individuals
- Providing support to the Managing Partner
This dynamic firm of accountants has a broad range of clients across a diverse range of sectors including: manufacturing, agriculture, retail, service and charities. Turnovers range from hundreds of thousands of pounds up to tens of millions of pounds.
Key Skills
In order to be considered for the role of Practice Manager you will need to have:
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ ACCA/ ATT/ other CCAB) or qualified-by-experience
- Managerial or supervisory experience
- Strong experience of managing workloads and meeting deadlines
- Experience of Auditing clients in the SME sector
- Statutory accounts preparation experience
- A good grounding in Personal and Corporate Tax and VAT
