Overview
A growing practice, offering specialist client services (based in Manchester) is seeking a partner designate/audit senior manager to join their growing team with a view to obtaining significant equity in the practice. This role would suit a proven, highly entrepreneurial accountancy professional who would take the lead in developing and growing their well-established Audit & Tax departmentt.Main Duties
As Partner Designate you will be expected to take a lead in:
- Expansion of the Audit & tax client-base
- Business development of existing clients
- Managing client audits
- Managing and sign-off of client statutory accounts
- Development, management and training of a team of staff
- Providing support to the partners
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual (perhaps currently working at managerial level) to take the next step in developing a practice and in return seeing substantial rewards. This dynamic firm of accountants has a broad range of clients across a diverse range of sectors including: manufacturing, agriculture, retail, service and charities. Turnovers range from hundreds of thousands of pounds up to tens of millions of pounds.
The successful individual will be highly confident and competent at creating and growing their own portfolio of clients. An outstanding opportunity for an individual with strong business development skills and a genuine desire to progress to equity partner level.
Key Skills
In order to be considered for the role of Partner Designate you will need to have:
- Excellent client development and relationship skills
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ ACCA/ ATT/ other CCAB)
- Experience of Auditing clients in the SME sector
- Statutory accounts preparation experience
- A good grounding in Personal and Corporate Tax and VAT
- Managerial or supervisory experience
