Overview
We are currently working with a leading name in the creative / media industry, who due to a recent restructure, are currently seeking to recruit a Management Accountant.Main Duties
In this varied and challenging role, you will take full ownership of the P&L and balance sheet, with specific duties including:
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Month end procedures including preparing accruals and prepayments
- Budgets and forecasts
- Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts
- Preparing draft tax computations
- Ensuring pricing models are appropriate and robust
- Coordination of the day to day operations of the finance function, including supervision of Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Payroll functions
- Production and analysis of various management information
- Detailing complex financial aspects to non financial staff
Key Skills
The role would suit a newly qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA, CIMA / ACCA / ACA finalist / newly qualified, ideally with first time passes, strong academic record.
You must have experience of management accounting, forecasting, analysis and process improvement together with strong IT skills and an excellent command of Excel and preferably Access and Sage Line 50. You must also have excellent communication abilities, in order to discuss complex financial issues with non finance related staff.
Salaries for the role will be in the region of £35,000 - £40,000 along with an excellent benefits package. There may be an option to stretch the salary a little more for exceptionally qualified candidates with the right background.
