Overview

   We are currently working with one of the leading employers in the Leeds region, a leader in its field, who following a major restructure, are currently looking to expand their Internal Audit services through external recruitment.


Main Duties

 You will join an expanding team, with a varied workload, including:

 
  • Planning, execution and reporting of a variety of audit assignments
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Successfully influence change
  • Installing new processes and procedures for new companies set up within the group
  • Assist the Internal Audit management team in conducting risk assessments and developing the annual audit plan.
  • Ensure that the business is managing risk appropriately managing risk
  • Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
  • Develop recommendations to strengthen controls and improve the quality of operations.
  • Effectively communicate audit issues and findings to the auditee and develop agreed actions to address the control weaknesses identified. 
  • Potentially IT audit duties


Key Skills

To fulfil the role, and carry the presence needed in this highly visible post, you will ideally be a formally qualified professional (ACA / IIA / QICA / equivalent), with a strong background in Internal Audit.
