Overview
We are currently working with one of the leading employers in the North Yorkshire region, a leader in its field, currently looking to expand their Internal Audit services through external recruitment.Main Duties
You will join an expanding team, with a varied workload, including:
- Planning, execution and reporting of a variety of audit assignments
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
- Successfully influence change
- Assist the Internal Audit management team in conducting risk assessments and developing the annual audit plan
- Ensure that the business is managing risk appropriately managing risk
- Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
- Develop recommendations to strengthen controls and improve the quality of operations
- Effectively communicate audit issues and findings to the auditee and develop agreed actions to address the control weaknesses identified
As the business is multi site, there may be short periods spent away from home, however they will be the exception, rather than the rule.
Key Skills
To fulfil the role, and carry the presence needed in this highly visible post, you will ideally be a formally qualified professional (ACA / IIA / QICA / equivalent), with a strong background in Internal Audit.
