Overview
A highly successful and expanding independent accountancy practice based in North Yorkshire is seeking an Audit & Accounts Manager to join an established team and take a lead in the provision and organisation of general practice services.Main Duties
As Audit & Accounts Manager you will be expected to take a lead in:
- Management and allocation of client workloads
- Management, training and mentoring of a team of staff
- Preparation of client statutory accounts
- External auditing of client accounts
- Preparation of Corporation and Personal Tax and VAT returns
- Personal Tax Planning for High-Net-Worth individuals
- Providing support to the Managing Partner
- Taking an innovative and consultative approach to work within the firm
This dynamic firm of accountants has a broad range of clients across a diverse range of sectors including: manufacturing, agriculture, retail, service and charities. Turnovers range from hundreds of thousands of pounds up to tens of millions of pounds.
Key Skills
In order to be considered for the role of Audit & Accounts Manager you will need to have:
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ ACCA/ ATT/ other CCAB) or qualified-by-experience
- Managerial or supervisory experience
- Strong experience of managing workloads and meeting deadlines
- Experience of Auditing clients in the SME sector
- Statutory accounts preparation experience
- A good grounding in Personal and Corporate Tax and VAT
- A flexible and ambitious attitude
