Overview
A large independent accountancy practice with offices in West Yorkshire, with is seeking an Audit/ Accounts Senior to join their team of professionals at their office in Huddersfield.Main Duties
As Audit Senior your responsibilities will include:
- assist with the managers with preparation of annual statutory accounts both at clients and in office;
- to assist and train trainee accountants in the practical aspects of preparation of accounts;
- to lead audits for companies, both at clients and in office;
- to undertake ad hoc projects for clients (e.g. management accounts, budgets, etc)
- other work to provide the services expected.
This well-established firm of accountants has a broad range of clients across a diverse range of sectors including: sole-traders, partnerships, owner-managed businesses, limited companies and charities. Turnovers range from hundreds of thousands, into the tens of millions of pounds.
Key Skills
In order to be considered for the role of Audit/ Accounts Senior you will need to have:
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ ACCA/ ATT/ other CCAB) or qualified by experience
- Experience of Auditing clients in the range of £5m to £100m
- Statutory accounts preparation experience
- A good grounding in Personal and Corporate Tax and VAT
- Managerial or supervisory experience
