Overview

   One of Europes leading providers of fund administration and outsourcing services to the private equity industry.


Main Duties

 The Accountant will be expected to support the Assistant and Client Directors on an on-going basis to ensure the efficiency of the Company is maintained. More specifically, to deal with client requests for assistance of the management companies and to take responsibility in every way for the members of staff reporting to him/her directly.

  • To assist with the carrying out of strategic policy set down by the Company
  • To undertake responsibility for a portfolio of the Company's clients
  • To undertake day to day responsibility for staff reporting to him/her
  • To train junior staff reporting to him/her
  • To promote and support the aims of the Company
  • To develop and maintain an effective working relationship with the person or persons to whom he/she reports
  • To co-operate with colleagues to promote an open and supportive environment
  • To carry out his/her duties in a careful and professional manner
  • Oversee the production of management, interim and audited accounts for all the section's clients
  • Oversee control and monitor the bookkeeping process
  • Review ledgers on a regular basis
  • The control and production of final accounts

  • Supervise, and sign-off on processes undertaken in line with the Company's policy and procedures and checklists.
  • To assist with the training and development of staff.
  • To provide a good on-going relationship with clients of the Company.
  • To provide cover to other sections in times of need.
  • To build effective relationships between individual team members.
  • To motivate and empower team members by building their capabilities.
  • To deputise for the Assistant Director and/or Senior Administrator during absences.
  • To assist with all aspects of general administration of clients when time frames allow.

Summary

The individual will be expected to have gained prior accounting experience in a financial institution and will be able to demonstrate considerable experience and knowledge of accounting, private equity administration or investment banking. The individual should be ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified or equivalent
