After over 10 years in their current role, this candidate is unfortunately facing redundancy as their role is being relocated out of the area. They have been offered a role at the new location, but personal circumstances dictate that that is not feasible, and as such, they are reluctantly seeking a new employer in the Yorkshire region. 

Primarily experienced within Payroll, they also have a background in Credit Control and all round Finance Assistant roles. 

Currently on a salary around £23,000, they are considering salaries in the region of £20,000 and above, and are currently available immediately. 


Responsibilities/ Achievements:

 

Their current role is primarily Payroll focussed, with duties including:
  • Providing an efficient payroll service covering 3 worldwide offices
  • Ensure accurate collation of all payroll and pension changes
  • Provide relevant management reports on a quarterly basis
  • Provide comprehensive guidance and information to employees in relation to pay, pensions and associated information
  • Prepare and deliver the annual bonus awards
  • Ensure that the monthly pension file is received and checked in a timely manner, and sent for processing
  • Main Oracle user for Payroll & Pensions
  • Implementing a clear Payroll Procedures Manual
  • Checking the accuracy of the payroll and liaising with both Line Manager and Finance personnel enabling accurate costing
  • Assisting Line Manager to ensure compliance of both the payroll & pensions contracts
  • Control the production of the P11D’s
  • Liaise with external advisors on financial issues ensuring best advice is obtained, as needs e.g. Inland Revenue and HM Revenue and Customs
  • Liaising with HR/Finance personnel as applicable, e.g. applying allocation of cost codes and preparation of P11ds.
  • Preparing  the Year-End accounts for Line Manager and Finance personnel to be signed off
  • To constantly review and improve payroll & systems.
  • Looking at innovative ways to improve systems and a creative approach to the running of the payroll office
  • Support Line Management in the production of any future tenders relating to payroll and pensions
